Reiki

Reiki in Glasgow

Reiki is a gentle, hands-on (or hands-above) energy practice used for deep relaxation, stress relief and recovery from burnout. Sessions are quiet, fully clothed, and paced to what your body can take.

What happens in a Reiki session

You lie down fully clothed. I work through a sequence of hand positions, either lightly touching or just above the body. Most people describe warmth, heaviness, tingling, or simply the first proper rest they have had in weeks. Many fall asleep.

A session lasts about an hour. Afterwards we talk briefly about what came up and, if useful, what a short series might look like.

What people come for

Chronic stress and overwork, trouble sleeping, anxiety, recovery after illness or surgery, grief, and periods of emotional overwhelm. Reiki does not replace medical care — it sits alongside it.

Distance Reiki

Distance sessions are arranged for a set time; you rest at home while I work. Glasgow clients who cannot travel often choose this. Sessions take place at the Dragonfly studio in Airdrie (ML6), with free parking, or online by video call.

Frequently asked

Do I need to believe in Reiki for it to help?

No. Most clients arrive sceptical. What you will notice first is simply deep physical relaxation.

How many sessions will I need?

One session is often enough for immediate relief. For long-standing stress, a series of three to four spaced a week or two apart works better.
